Mr. Ruiz

Science has been one of my favorite subjects since I was in middle school.  In college I studied ecology which gave me the chance to study in the rainforest, as well as work in a laboratory. After getting started teaching I got married and went back to school for my master's degree in Biology.  Around the same time my wife and I had our first child.  

This is my 11th year here at O'Farrell with 20 years teaching overall.  We have four kids now and I have taught all three grades here at OCS Middle.  I enjoy all the questions that students bring to class and discussing their curiosities.  My hobbies include drawing, painting and playing a little bass guitar.  

One of my favorite parts of teaching is hearing back from former students and all the exciting things they have accomplished!
