About Me

My name is Mike Tira, and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher this year!

I’m originally from Chicago, but I’ve been living in San Diego since 2011. I moved to San Diego to attend college at the University of San Diego, from which I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in 2015 and a Master’s Degree in Education in 2019.

I’ve taught every math course imaginable at O’Farrell Middle, as well as some other subjects. Outside of school, I love spending time with my beautiful wife, Kathryn, and my dog, Fitz. Some of my hobbies are tabletop games and reading.
